First Impression

The banner had my attention right away. It took me a bit to figure out what was written on it and there’s a lot going on, but I like it! The cover of the novel seems to fit perfectly with the title and the genre of the story. It’s mysterious and makes me want to check out the novel. However, the title is a bit difficult to read on the cover. The summary is mysterious as well, maybe a bit too mysterious. I’m not sure what I can expect from this novel after reading the summary. What are the things that can get worse? Honestly, the summary confuses me a bit. In contrast, the prologue is great, it gave me a clear image of what’s going on in the world of this novel.

Would I continue reading?

Yes, this story definitely has my attention now that I’ve started reading it! I like how it’s written and that I constantly get new information. The characters have relatable goals and realistic personalities that made me like them pretty quickly. The art in the chapters also makes it more interesting to me! For anyone who likes mystery stories with a bit of fantasy, world-building and drama, this story could be what you’re looking for. Since it’s an ongoing novel, I’d give it a try and see where the story goes.

Mystery, Rejection and New Paths

Title: IDOLZ

Author: Luna Graves

Summary: Given one final shot at her dream of becoming a professional dancer, Tara is forced to take on a new role, inadvertently gambling away her life. It’s up to her and an unlikely band of friends to expose the sinister secrets and powers at play before it’s too late.

First Impression

At first, I thought there’s too much text on the cover. However, I quickly changed my mind when I realised how the words on the cover also give a quick summary of the story. It made me more interested in this novel! The real summary also gives me the right amount of information to know what I’ll get when reading this story. There are some little things I’d change about the cover and the summary, like making the title a bit more eye-catchy on the cover, but in general, the first impression of this novel drew me in and got me interested!

Would I continue reading?

After reading a few chapters of this novel, I think this could get quite interesting! If I had found this story somewhere, I would have given it a try and continued reading. The chapters are short enough to read during short breaks and the novel’s written simple enough to allow me to read it while doing something else as well. The reader gets to read a lot of thoughts and feeling of the main character which makes it very easier to connect with her, especially in the situation the story starts off with. The first chapter has a mysterious vibe while the other chapters seem to be mostly drama for now. If the summary seems interesting to you, check out the story, you won’t be disappointed!

Apocalyptic Mysteries

First Impression

The banner and the cover looked a bit simple to me, so they didn’t catch my full attention at first. The summary was short and gave me a good idea of what the story is about. It didn’t make me want to start reading immediately but it summed up the novel nicely. I like the questions on the banner, it makes me more interested in the novel than the cover does, which might be an issue. The cover seems a bit “boring”. I can’t really read the words easily and I don’t think it fits the title. The “apocalyptic” look is missing a bit for me. The title gives me the same information as the summary, maybe that’s not the best way of doing it but the title itself seems interesting.

Would I continue reading?

This is a complicated question for this one. Firstly, I probably wouldn’t even have started reading it if I had just found it on Tapas. Second, I’m not a big fan of this kind of story. There’s a lot of dialogue and not much about the world they live in. I get a lot of information on the character’s personality but what is presented as a mystery first, the stranger, gets revealed very quickly and takes away a lot of suspense. However, the chapters are really short so it wouldn’t take me too long to read one and I could do that when I’m bored and want to read some great conversations in a post-apocalyptic world!

Did you already read any of these stories? Let me know in the comments what you think about them! They are all worth the time to read them, especially if you like some mysterious situations!
